Plans for my Master Bath

Since we finally finished our Master Bedroom, I think it's time to move on to our Master Bath. I have convinced my H to go to Lowes today to pick up the paint. We also want to pick out the paint for his mancave AKA the basement (more to come on that project soon). I want to paint our Master Bath the same color as our bedroom ("Granite Dust" by Valspar) since the two are connected & I heart the color. Then I want to pmb do exactly what Mrs. Foot over at The Proudfeet did with her vanity/mirror area:

She painted her vanity black, added hardware to the vanity, replaced the sink hardware & framed the large mirror with crown moulding (also painted black). Our Master Bath vanity/sink is exactly like hers & I have been lusting over this project for a while & now that the major rooms are done for the most part & the house is all decorated for the Fall, I think it's time to finally get to it!

I also want to buy the Spacesaver & Hamper Bench in black from the Louvered Bath Furniture Collection & some monogrammed JCPenney Towels in seascape at JCP. During my little shopping spree last weekend, I bought this piece of inspirational wall art from Kohls:

I think it's going to look great against the wall where the towel bar is. I also want a new tension rod shower caddy because ours is getting a little rusted (we have had it for 2 years & it's time to replace it), I like this chrome one at Target & it's a reasonable price, so that's probably what we will go with. Finally, I plan on getting some baskets to organize under the cabinets.

Here are some before's of the bathroom:

Stay tuned for the after's...I am so excited to finish this project. Oh & before I forget, guess what I just ordered yesterday?!? A *NEW* lap top, woo hoo...it's this little beauty:

It's the HP Pavilion dv6t series & I added a few extras, including Microsoft Office/Student & Adobe Photoshop (which I have never used, but hear is amazing!); we also bought a all-in-one printer/copier/scanner from HP. I am so excited - my current personal computer is a 2002 Dell desktop - it's ancient & SLOW (printer is just as old), but still works so I am giving it to my little brother to play computer games on. Anyways, my new baby gets shipped on October 12th & I am thrilled!!

Thanks for the feature :) You'll never recognize your bathroom after you finish everything. It'll look so awesome. Good luck!

I really love your bathroom idea. Our bathroom is already kind of similar to yours. Good luck!

The bathroom idea is great. I saw that transformation and was thinking about doing the same thing!

Rather nice blog you've got here. Thanks for it. I like such themes and anything connected to this matter. I definitely want to read more on that blog soon.

Sincerely yours

In the same process of picking colors for the same project.
Do you know what colors she used for the walls?
For the cabinet and mirror?

Celeste - I actually finished my Master Bath now - here is the link for that post: http://worldofdennifer.blogspot.com/2009/12/big-master-bath-reveal.html.

I'm not completely sure what color Mrs. Foot used on her MB makeover, but you should stop by her blog (linked in this post) - she has contact info on her page. Just email her & she'll be able to tell you the color she used. GL!
