5QF - 07.30.10

Wowza, I can't believe how quickly this week has gone by. I have lots of nursery updates I want to share, but I just need to have the time to sit down and write out a post! We are getting sooo close to being done with her nursery & I can't wait to share the final product with you guys!! We are actually about to head out of town to where the hubbs is originally from - his cousin had a be-beh, so we are heading down to meet the lil guy! So, I'm gonna make this one quick & sweet. :)

So on to 5QF! If you want to participate, head on over to My Little Life & link up (and let me know if you do, I'd love to read my reader's answers)!

1. Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it?

Hahahaha, funny you should ask. I don't think I had this as a child necessarily, but I have this sheet that I have definitely had since at least high school. I love it. It's so comfy & I cuddle with it every night. My husband always makes fun of me for it, but it just makes me happy at night. I even bring it along on trips....I use it to lay my head on - I'm really weird about sleeping on hotel/non-mine pillows. I have SUPER sensitive skin so if I don't know what something was washed in, I always cover it. It'll be coming along on this little trip to even though we'll be staying at my MIL's casa. :)

2. Do you dream in color?

Yep, I sure do. Is that weird?! I remember I dreamed twice that we were having a boy. I'm soooo excited about my little girl, but if you would have asked me to guess....I totally would have said boy.

3. How tall are you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller?

I'm 5'5" (if you want to be real technical, I'm 5' 4 & 3/4") - I like my height, the perfect compliment to my hubby!

4. If you could have anyone's (celeb or other) voice as the guide on your GPS, who would it be?

Hmmm, interesting question. I have always like TI's voice - IDK what it is about his voice, but it drives me crazy - I think he has this sexy southern swagger. IRL though he's really skinny & short, lol...I have been to a concert. I still think he's cute regardless!

5. Do you return your shopping cart to the corral or leave it wherever in the parking lot?

I actually take it back like a nice girl. :)

Gotta run & finish packing. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Hopefully, I'll be back on Sunday with a new Project Nursery post. 'Till next time!!

25 weeks - only 15 more to go!!

First things first...I'm very excited to be bringing all of you a really great giveaway from CSN Stores!! I love CSN because they have over 200 sites & you can get pretty much anything on there from a coffee maker to crib bedding (& everything in between!). I plan to post that in the next week or so!!

Now on to baby stuff - woot! Soooo excited to be here. According to some sources, I am in the third (& final) trimester now, but I am going to go by the more liberal date of 26 weeks, 6 days. Either way, I'm close enough & getting super excited to meet my baby girl! I looked at my ticker the other day & saw that I only have 101 days until she arrives, which = me being kicked into gear - almost double digits...woo hoo!! I need to simmer down because I keep adding new DIY crafts for her room to my list, lol. I just can't STOP! But her nursery is coming along well & I am taking new pics tomorrow to show you guys. Oh & to feed my baby buying obsession - I bought some cute girly bows today. I also bought her bedding, toy storage tote & throw pillow for the glider late last week! I can't wait to show you guys - it's supposed to be here on Friday!!!!!!

The photographer I mentioned who did my wedding photos is being slow responding to me about my maternity pics, so to save $$, we decided to let my little sister do them. She's actually pretty awesome. She does photography as a hobby, but she has a really great Digital SLR & takes pretty awesome pics! I can't wait to do them & see how they turn out. I'll still ask the professional photographer to do the newborn pics, which I am sure will also be adorable.

According to the Bump, the baby is the size of an eggplant. She's about 1.5 lbs. by now & is getting a sense of equilibrium, so she knows when/if she's upside down. Her immune system is maturing & her eyes are forming - soon she'll be practicing blinking! Baby J is busy kicking away - the hubbs even felt her twice tonight! He says he thinks he felt her once before on the 4th of July, but we weren't positive. Well tonight, we were positive!! It was so hard he even asked me why she was kicking me so hard, lol. I told him it'll get harder when she gets even bigger. Keep kicking away little girl...mommy loves your kicks! I'm happy to report that I have stayed true to my vow to start hitting the treadmill 2-3 times per week. I have been Sunday & Wednesday this week & plan to likely go on Friday. I still want to find a pre-natal yoga class that is convenient for me to attend at least once a week. Despite all that, my belly is definitely getting bigger - I went to get a bridesmaid dress altered for my friend's wedding next weekend & I had already ordered the dress 3'ish sizes larger than my normal size (I was like over 8 weeks along when we ordered the dress) & it's only a little bit big in the boobs! It doesn't need to be taken in anywhere else! 3 sizes larger than my pre-pregnancy size! Oh.my.gawsh. Ah well I guess, as long as my baby girl keeps growing big & healthy in there, that's all that really matters!

And now on to the bump shots!

25 weeks clothed & bare:
And as promised, I...errr, my hubby did a comparison from earlier on in my pregnancy until now, hopefully it shows up okay. This shows every 5 weeks of my "bump" starting at 5 weeks - wowza, look at the change (click to enlarge photo)!

I'm sooo exhausted, so I'm off to bed. But make sure to stay tuned - like I mentioned, I have some nursery DIY projects & updates to share! 'Till next time!

Wordless Wednesday

A new ribbon mobile I made for a friend:

And baby view...

Plus a bonus pic, my *future* baby belleh?!:

LOL...I took this when I was maybe 16 weeks & I never posted it. I had on one of those fake bumps @ Motherhood Maternity! Sigh. I wish my thighs/legs were that small still & I was one of those pregnant women who were all belly!

This week @ work has been insane...but I have lots of nursery news & my weekly pregnancy post coming up tomorrow!!!

New Friend + 5QF - 07.23.10

Woo hoo, another Friday here!!! ::waves hi to all my new & long-time followers:: && welcome to anyone visiting for the first time from New Friend Fridays!!

This week has been pretty typical - work, more work when I get home & baby crafting. I have a new DIY baby project + a tutorial that I just completed to share sometime soon, but I'm waiting to take a pic of the final project up on the shelf where it'll go. The Mr. was supposed to put said shelf up in the nursery yesterday, but our stupid crappy leveler wasn't in commission! So we have to head to Home Depot or Lowes to buy a new one this weekend. Baby J's nursery is coming along great & I hope to order some of the last few things we are buying prior to her shower(s) this weekend!! I can't wait to get it done, I just know it's gonna look fab! Switching topics - last night, after commuting for over an hour on public transportation + 30 minutes in my car, I realized that I left my cell phone ALL the way back at my office. I didn't want to leave it over night because I have heard stories where people's valuables have disappeared from their desks over night in our building. So, I frantically googled all my co-workers (we post documents to Government websites, so we all have our work contact info out on the web somewhere) & tried calling like 7 of them - no one was still there. So I had to drive ALL the way back into DC to get it. It sucked, but I have my phone & I'm happy. It's nothing special, but it is the main way I get in contact with people + my alarm, so I need it.

Anywho, now on to 5QF! If you want to participate, head on over to My Little Life & link up (and let me know if you do, I'd love to read my reader's answers)!

1. What were your school colors?

High school? Purple & White...the Chargers! And for college, it's green & gold...the Patriots!

2. What's the best compliment you ever received?

Hmmm, IDK. I guess I find it really satisifying when people appreciate the work that I do. Like last week, I got a really sweet note & $5 gift card to Starbucks from a project manager that I bent over backwards for to get something done fast. He was really appreciative that he sent me the note & gift card via another project manager (he works in a different state). I don't even like Starbucks (coffee's not my thing, but I do enjoy SB in the fall when they have that pumpkin spice stuff - oh.my.gaw. - that stuff with reduced fat steamed milk is DIVINE), but his gesture was so sweet that it made my work week. :)

On a non-work related note, I really like when someone compliments my DIY projects or D&R work. I put a lot of time, effort & thought into everything that I do for our house, so it always makes me happy when someone compliments that. Makes me feel all warm & fuzzy, lol.

3. Do you buy cheap or expensive toilet paper?

I'd say relatively expensive - it's the name brand stuff. My hubby refuses to use the cheap stuff, lol. But we get it from BJ's Wholesale, so it's much cheaper than if we had purchased it in the store.

4. Have you ever had a surprise party thrown for you? Or have you had one for someone else?

Nope, I think I am too nosy/ask too many questions to be sucessfully surprised. But I have thrown 2 - one for my hubby (he figured out the surprise) & one for a girl friend for her bday (she didn't figure it out)! It was good. I'm trying to do a semi-surprise one for the hubbs again for his next bday, which is the BIG 3-0!! I am gonna tell him it'll be just the 2 of us, but I'm really gonna invite all of his close friends!

5. What is one material possession that you "can't live without"?

Clearly from my story above - my cell phone, lol. And now, I'd also have to say my lap top too.

That's all I got for this week. This weekend will be busy running errands for the most part & cleaning the house. I'm goign to this new Asian restaurant tonight for my two co-workers' birthdays & then tomorrow going to get spa pedis with my friend who's having her wedding ceremony (she's already legally married) in just a couple weeks. I'm in her bridal party, so we are taking her out for pedis, then lunch tomorrow! I like love food, especially trying new places so I'm sure I'll have lots of fun over the next two days!! And stay tuned, I have lots of great Project Nursery stuff, updates to my Spring/Summer Cleaning/Baby J to do list coming up over the next week or so! Hope everyone has a great weekend! 'Till next time!

Project Nursery - "planting" a tree

Not literally "planting," but we did put one up! Remember this pic of packaged goodies we got in the mail from my most recent pregnancy post?

...And remember how I said the tube held something else exciting for Baby J?! Well, it IS - something very very exciting - her tree decal for her wall! Tree decals, painted trees & tree art in nurseries & kid's rooms are all the rage lately, case in point:

Beautiful nursery & little girl's room featured on Design Dazzle

Noodle's adorable birdie themed nursery from Carrie @ Making Lemonade

Gianna's ca-ute nursery from Mrs. F at As the Forest{e} Grows

Delia's pretty nursery from Danielle at Growing a Lemon

And I'm lovin' the trend too, so I decided to do it in Baby J's nursery! First I scoured Etsy for the perfect decal - it came down to a heated battle between the hubby & I over my top two faves, so we did what we always do to make important decisions - we played rock, paper, scissors! Hahaha...seriously though - we did. I whooped his booty won (I always do...he says he let me win - RIIIIIIGHT ;oP), but decided to be a nice wife & went along with his choice anyways. The intense competition was between these two decals on Etsy:

My original first choice by Etsy seller Nou Wall...

And the Mr.'s choice {and what we ended up going with} from Etsy seller designed Designer...

I like certain things about both decals. For my #1 choice decal I liked the owl better & if you have been reading my blog for any length of time, you could probably just glance at my first choice & know that my most favorite part of the decal were the little birdies that come along with it {I LOVE birdies}! And as for the Mr.'s #1 choice, I loved that the tree was blowing/swaying, love the berries & thought the owl was also pretty cute too! So, like I mentioned, we decided to go with the Mr.'s choice in the end & I'm so happy we did because I think it looks fab in our baby girl's room!

We still need to do the berries on the tree + the blowing berries & leaves, which we plan to "blow" around the windows, but want to wait until we get the curtains up to do those. You likes?! I love, love, LOVE! But don't let that innocent-looking tree fool you - this bad boy took us over an hour {probably close to 2} to get up...here's what we did:

First, we got all our supplies together based on the instructions that came with the decal: masking tape (we started out with Frog Tape, which is pictured, but switched because it wasn't doing the job), scissors, plastic credit-type card (we used an old ID of the hubbs & an old gift card) to smooth out the decal.

Next, we went section by section (& there were a lot of sections) carefully cutting out the tree trunk & branches into smaller, more manageable pieces. **World of Dennifer (WOD) tip: cut out as much "dead" space as possible...it helps cut down on the time it takes to put up each piece.

Then, by section, we taped up each piece on the wall & positioned it where we wanted it to be on the wall/in relation to the other already adhered pieces. **WOD tip: this part can get a little cumbersome with the branches, but I highly recommend doing this for each large section because it helps to see it up on the wall & with the other parts of the decal that are done before you adhere it to the wall.

Once the decal piece is positioned to your liking, remove the paper backing from the bottom & lightly place the decal on the wall by hand without moving it from the position where you had it taped (you will need to remove the paper from bottom to top & remove the tape in the same manner). Once it is on the wall, use the plastic credit-type card to push down the decal on the wall (try to push pretty firmly) - work from the middle of the decal to the ends. **WOD tip: it is okay if, when you start putting on the branches, that the decal pieces overlap a little bit - it's all the same color, so you really can't tell it's overlapping & it's necessary at times to correctly position the branches to your liking.

Then, carefully peel off the clear vinyl protective cover from the piece you are working on. **WOD tip: be very careful removing the clear vinyl cover because sometimes it is necessary to overlap small parts of the clear vinyl on pieces that you have already finished & you don't want to pull too quickly & pull up those previously finished pieces on accident!

Continue the above steps with each piece/section - we did largest piece to smallest piece - until the tree's main structure is adhered to the wall.

Finally, using the same directions above, we positioned & adhered the owl where we wanted him on the tree. So, that's how we "planted" a tree in Baby J's nursery - we can't wait to rock her in the glider, sing her lullabies & read her bedtime stories under the tree!! And just because I heart before & afters - here is a look at what that wall looked like before we "planted" the tree:

And here's what it looks like now:

More to come on the rest of this wall soon. So what do you think?! We love the way it turned out...in fact, the day we finished it, we couldn't stop looking in her room at the wall!! Wanna see our nursery progress from the beginning? Check out my master plan for the room & the first set of DIY goodies I made for our little girl, the major furniture all put together, my cute owl accent finds & decision to do a understated owl theme in her nursery, and my "Owl" Bean Bag score turned FAIL! Enjoy. :) 'Till next time!

23-24 Weeks...and more cute stuff!

Hey there everyone! We are back from South Carolina! My cousin's wedding was fun & it was great seeing my family...but I'm glad to be out of the car (it's an 8'ish hour drive) & back home!!

I have found a new baby company to add to my list of faves: the buti-bag company. If you haven't ever seen their stuff, go check it out!! They have sooo much cute stuff in the most ADORABLE designs! The owner of the buti-bag company, Nicole, is also super nice! She contacted me about a link I posted on another blog I frequent where I was talking about my favorite baby stuff & she got a lot of traffic from that link, so offered me a free gift! So sweet & I'm absolutely not one to turn down cute stuff for Baby J, so I selected the oh-so-cute pink & chocolate bi-o-pad, which can be used as a grocery shopping cart, a restaurant high chair cover or even a public restroom cover. And I'm sort of a germ-o-phobe - like I only go to grocery stores that offer those sanitizing wipes so that you can wipe off the shopping cart/basket before you touch it & I always carry hand sanitizer around with me - LOL, so this was the PERFECT product for me! I also really liked her pod packs for baby wipes when you're on the go - also seems like an awesome product that I know will come in handy when Baby J gets here! So I asked her to throw that in too & I offered to pay for that, but she said she'd just throw that in too. :) Well on Friday, I got a ring on my door from the mailman & was elated to find a package from Nicole!

The tube is an exciting something else for Baby J's nursery...more on that in another post soon!

And inside the package from the the buti-bag company:
Woo hoo! The bi-o-pad, the pod pack & she even threw in some of her CUTE binkmeister binkie clips!!

And now I'm officially in love with her company! The bi-o-pad is so soft & cute & I love all the adorable prints all of her stuff comes in! I even went back on her site & bought Baby J one of her adorable baby blankets too!

::swoon::

If you're in the market for some adorable, yet practical & high quality baby stuff or you are just obsessed with buying stuff for your little one like me {wink}, then head on over & check out all of the buti-bag company's awesome stuff!! Make sure to sign up for her email list to get word on buti-bag company exclusive sales & to be alerted when new products & patterns are added. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. :)

So today I'm 24 weeks & 1 day pregnant, which means our precious little girl has reached the point of viability!!! That means that she would have a chance of surviving outside of the womb if she were born today. Of course, we absolutely DO NOT want her to come any time soon - November or late October sounds best to her mama & daddy, so she just needs to stay in there & keep growing big & strong! The baby is pretty much fully developed at this point, her taste buds are developing & her lungs are continuing to mature. She's now putting on weight more rapidly & should be about 1.5 lbs. this week & 12.5 inches long! She also kicks away more & more every day. This past week, I registered for breastfeeding & childbirth classes, as well as our hospital tour! The BF class is in mid-August & I'm actually really excited to go to the class! Every milestone that gets me closer to my baby girl is a good thing. :) I have been feeling pretty good overall - just sore here & there by the end of the day. And I've also noticed that I am starting to get a little stuffy, which I hear is common during pregnancy.

I had a OB appointment this past Friday & I gained like 6 lbs since my 20 week appointment! The Nurse Practitioner, who I saw this time, said that I should try to just keep an eye on my weight & stay active, but that she's not extremely worried about such a fast jump over the 4-week period...she said it happens sometimes, but that I should only be gaining about 1 lb. per week during this part of my pregnancy. Eh well. I'm still well within the normal weight range, so I'm trying not to worry too much about it. But I am gonna get strict about walking on the treadmill @ the gym a couple times a week & about finding a pre-natal yoga class. We got to hear Baby J's heartbeat at the appt., which was right around the 150 beats per minute range - very normal & I got a lab slip to do my 1 hour glucose tolerance test. It's supposed to be done during week 26, so I'll handle that in a couple weeks - wish me luck! Oh the NP also checked out the swollen area under my right arm & she says it's just a swollen lymph node & warned that it may even get more swollen as my milk comes in. I asked when I would need to start counting the baby's kicks & she said not until around 30-32 weeks, but as long as she's moving daily then it's normal for now. And she definitely does that, hahaha! Oh & I now know the two dates for my baby showers - the hubby's family is hosting the first one (they live about 4 hours away, so they decided to do one down there for us) on September 18th & the one with all my friends & family is on October 2nd! I am SO excited & am constantly updating & adding/removing stuff from our baby registry because I'm so freakin indecisive! I also contacted my "life photographer", who shot our engagement & wedding photos & am working now with her to schedule a maternity photo shoot & also a newborn photo shoot when the babe arrives. the tentative plan is to do the maternity shots in mid-September, so I'll be a little over 30 weeks. And that's about it for the past two weeks of my pregnancy - just truckin' right along & waiting to meet our little girl in a little under 16 weeks!

And I definitely feel like I look pregnant nowadays - here are my week 23 & 24 bump shots. I'm always either in maternity clothes or stretchy pants & fewer & fewer of my pre-pregnancy shirts fit now.

23 weeks - clothed & bare belly:

And 24 weeks - clothed & bare belly:

Next week I think I'll post a comparison from earlier on in my pregnancy. I can't believe I am just a couple weeks shy of the third trimester! According to some of the things I have read, this week actually marks the last week of the second tri. Doesn't matter to me either way as long as this baby keeps growing big, strong & healthy in there!  And this also makes me realize just how close we are to meeting her - and just how much we need to get on the ball with her room & everything else we wanna get done before she gets here. 'Till next time!

New Friend + 5QF - 07.16.10

Woo hoo, another Friday here!!! ::waves hi to all my new & long-time followers:: && welcome to anyone visiting for the first time from New Friend Fridays!!

Sorry I have been a little MIA this week, I had a huge thing I have been working on for months now to get out this week at work, so I have been a blog slacker. I'm going out of town this weekend for a family wedding too, so I won't be around much again until Sunday. But, stay tuned because I have another ribbon mobile I made for a good friend to share & of course my weekly pregnancy posts (I'm going to combine 23-24 weeks since I'm going to be 24 weeks tomorrow & no point in posting pretty much the same info back to back)!

Anywho, now on to 5QF! If you want to participate, head on over to My Little Life & link up (and let me know if you do, I'd love to read my reader's answers)!

1. Do you collect anything?
Hehehehe...yup. This sounds sorta collegey, but I collect shot glasses! I try & pick one up every new place we go. :)

2. Name 3 celebrities that you find good looking.

This one is not tough at all! Will Smith, Denzel Washington & oddly enough, John Travolta. I think he's sexiest as a bad guy!

3. Do you have any scars? If so, what's the story behind it (them?)?

Yep - who doesn't? I have a bunch, I was kind of a rough little kid, but the biggest one I have is from when I was like 3 years old or so & it's on my left knee. I feel like this story deserves a disclaimer: my parents were SUPER young & inexperienced with kids when I was little...I bet this taught "incident" them a huge lesson on what not to do, lol. Okay so, I have an older sister - she's about 2.5 years older than me & she was "watching me" while my dad was on the phone in the back room talking to my mom. Well, back in the day we had one of those stoves with the knobs on top of the range (it was an electric stove), so I somehow got up there & started messing with the knobs. Welp, you guessed it - I turned on a burner & burned the h3ll out of my knee. I assume I screamed bloody murder & my dad rushed me to the emergency room. The hospital called Child Protective services & everything...my mom (who was not at home when it happened) was P!SSED at my dad, but it all turned out fine & my knee healed up eventually. I still have a very light scar, but absolutely no memory of anything that happened. I only know the story because my parents told me, lol.

4. What is a food that you like to eat, but others might think it's gross or weird?
Hmmm, IDK. I'm a pretty normal eater. I honestly can't think of anything I eat that people would think is weird.

5. Have you ever seen a tornado in real life?
Nope, just in the movies....although there have been a few in or near my area over the last several years. I have just never saw them. When that movie Twister came out, I was like 13 & I thought it would be pretty cool to chase tornadoes like they did. Now that I'm older & understand how dangerous they can be, I'd like to stay as far away as possible!
That's all I got this week. I have lots more coming next week - including updates on my Summer/Getting-Ready-For-Baby J to do list, more Project Nursery updates & a cute DIY project! Wish me luck in the hot South Carolina heat this weekend. 'Till next time!

So umm, about that "owl" bean bag...

So, the more & more I looked at the 'lil guy I got for a steal @ $7.48 on clearance at Target for Baby J's room this past Friday, the more I was thinking that he wasn't an owl at all. After all, he doesn't have any wings or the pointy ears like owls normally have (and I know owls ever since I decided to loosely theme the babe's room around them!). Exhibits A-D:

So to confirm my theory that what I had was, in fact, not an owl....I headed over to Target's website & guess what I saw?! I wish I knew how to screen shot, but I don't, so here's a link! What the &*%$#@!! He's a freakin' hedgehog! A Hedgehog in my little girl's owl themed room, hahaha. But also notice the price online?? I got a MAJOR discount - $23 off! Because I got such an awesome deal & because he's a cutie, I think I'll keep him...and maybe even tell people he's an owl!! Hmph. My husband says, "That's what you get for buying stuff so spur of the moment like that!" Thanks Babe. Appreciate that. So let this be a lesson to you - sales people will tell you it is whatever you want it to be as long as you buy it, hahaha!

Anywho, just thought I'd update you guys...lol. I'll be abck tomorrow'ish with my 23 week update + more Project Nursery talk & some updates to my Spring Cleaning, which turned into Summer/Getting-ready-for-Baby J To Do List. 'Till next time!

New Friend & 5Q Friday - 7.9.10

Woo hoo, another Friday here!!! ::waves hi to all my new & long-time followers:: && welcome to anyone visiting for the first time from New Friend Fridays!

I am sooo happy this weekend is here! This week went by quick since it was a 4-day work week, woot! And it's gonna be a busy weekend - I now have one shower (that I'm co-hosting) & a surprise birthday party this weekend (one of the showers got postponed). I have been running around this week & today getting everything I need for the shower (I'm in charge of decor & games/prizes) & a gift for my friend's big 3-0 birthday party! The hubbs is getting on my nerves right now b/c I told him about this party a while ago & he said he had something to do, so he couldn't come...but now that something got canceled, but he's being a butt & is refusing to come. He's not doing anything else either - he says he "just wants to chill"...booo. Ugh, men are so difficult sometimes!

It's been HOT here in my area & I have been trying to stay my pregnant butt cool. Yesterday on my way home on the Metro (public transit - my job pays for it) there was no effing air conditioner on the train. I thought I was gonna die! I almost got off, but I was anxious to get home, so I just drank lots of water & fanned myself during the ride home.

Nothing else really important happened this week, but today I found the absolute cutest bean bag at Target on clearance for $7.48!! Can you believe that price?! I was not going to buy it, then I saw that price tag & couldn't resist, look at 'em:

He's sitting in the backseat on my car. Please excuse the crappy camera phone pic!

A freakin' owl bean bag - how perfect is that for Baby J's nursery?! Gotta love Target clearance racks!! Anywho, now on to 5QF! If you want to participate, head on over to My Little Life & link up (and let me know if you do, I'd love to read my reader's answers)!

1. What is one food you could eat everyday?

OMG, this may sound weird, but Won Ton soup from Chinese restuarants. I freakin' love that stuff! I have always liked it, but ever since I got pregnant, I can't get enough...so I guess Baby J likes it too, huh?!  I actually don't eat the pork inside the wontons, just the noodles & broth - yummy. :)

2. Are you working in the career you thought you would be when you were 18?

Ummm, heck no. LOL. Don't get me wrong, I love my job (I work in Acquisitions for the Government), but I think I wanted to be a lawyer when I was 18 & that's not happeneing. Grad school was enough for me, I don't think I could handle law school!

3. What is something that you wish you would have done when you were younger and you didn't?

Joined the Girl Scouts - I think my mom tried to get me in a few times, but apparently that was an in demand activity & there was a waiting list everytime she tried. OR maybe she just told me there was a waiting list so I'd stop bothering her, LMAO.

4. What color are your kitchen walls?

A light sherbert-looking orange...I believe it's Duron's orange burst. We still have lots we wanna do with our kitchen, like change out the countertops, re-do the cabinets (as you can see from the pic, they are sun damaged in some areas), add in a backsplash, replace the fridge (it's ancient) & change out the light fixtures. I think once we do all that, the kitchen color will look even better than I think it does now!

5. Do you remember what your very first favorite song was?

Nope, no clue - it may have been Luther Vandross' "Stop to Love" (click link for the music video)! My mom had the actual vinyl record when I was little & I used to listen to that song all the time & dance around. ;)

Now I have to run to get ready for my friend's surprise party before I'm late & ruin the surprise! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
